Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website and my work, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. I’ve kept it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email me.

1. Who I am

I’m Jasmin Casumpang, a self-employed professional based in the Philippines, trading under my own name. I’m responsible for the personal information described here. You can reach me at jasmin@jasmincasumpang.com.

2. When you visit this website

Analytics. I use Koko Analytics, which runs on this website’s own server. It counts page views and records which pages are visited, which site, link or campaign sent the visitor, the visitor’s country, the type of device and browser, and clicks on things like the “Book a free call” button and form submissions. Your country is worked out on this server from your IP address, which isn’t stored. It sets one small cookie (see section 3), doesn’t identify you and doesn’t send anything to an outside analytics company.

Hosting. This website is hosted by BigScoots. Like most web servers, theirs keep short-term technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Images. Images on this site are delivered through ShortPixel’s image service, so your browser fetches them from ShortPixel’s servers, which see your IP address in the process. See ShortPixel’s privacy policy.

Fonts. The fonts are hosted on this website itself, so no font request goes to Google or anyone else.

3. Cookies

This website sets one cookie for visitors. Koko Analytics stores a list of the pages you’ve viewed here, so a return visit isn’t counted as a new visitor. It stays in your browser, holds no personal information, isn’t shared with anyone and expires within 24 hours.

Two things can set cookies from other companies:

  • The booking calendar on the Contact page is provided by Google. When it loads, Google may set cookies and collect usage information under Google’s privacy policy. If you’d rather avoid that, email me instead and we’ll find a time.
  • Links to other websites. Some links on my Recommended tools page are affiliate links. If you click one, that company may set a cookie on its own website so it knows I referred you. Their own privacy policies apply.

If you log in to this website (only I do), WordPress sets the cookies it needs to keep you logged in.

4. When you book a call or email me

  • Booking a call: the calendar asks for your name, email address and anything you choose to tell me about your shop. Google Calendar stores the booking and sends the confirmation, and the call takes place on Google Meet.
  • Emailing me: your message is stored on my email server at BigScoots, and I read and send email through Gmail, so a copy is kept in my Google account.

I use these details only to reply to you, prepare for our call and talk about your project. Apart from the guide and tips sign-ups below, I won’t add you to a mailing list or share your details for anyone else’s marketing.

Email sign-up for guides. If you ask for a free guide on this website, your first name and email address are sent to my website, which emails the guide to you from my email account at BigScoots.

Store cost calculator. The numbers you type into the store cost calculator stay in your browser, and its share link holds only those numbers, never your name or email. If you ask for your breakdown by email, your first name, email address and numbers are sent to my website, which emails the breakdown to you from my email account at BigScoots.

Emails my website sends. My website keeps a log of the emails it sends (who to, the subject and the message) for 30 days so I can check they were delivered, then deletes it. To stop the forms being misused, it also keeps a short-lived, scrambled count of requests from each IP address and email address, cleared within an hour.

Tips by email. If you tick “Also send me occasional tips by email” on any of these forms, your first name and email address are sent to Kit, the email service I use, tagged with what you signed up for. Kit emails you once to confirm, and you won’t get tips until you do. Kit records when you confirm and whether you open tips emails or click their links. Every tips email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to remove you at any time.

5. When you become a client

To work together I keep your name, business name, contact details, country and what we’ve agreed, plus our emails and invoices.

  • Invoices and payments go through Wise, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. I never see or store your card details.
  • Your store and accounts: you give me access to your store and the accounts it uses (such as Stripe, your shipping carrier and, for SEO or ads, your Google and Meta accounts) only for the work you’ve asked for. You can remove my access at any time. Your store, its data and its accounts stay yours.
  • Your customers’ details: while I set up or run your store, I may see your customers’ names, addresses and order details. I handle them only on your instructions and only to do that work. You’re responsible for your own store’s privacy policy.
  • Claude workflows: if I run your store for you, I use Claude (by Anthropic) to match orders to shipping invoices, send tracking details and help with store updates. That means order, shipping and product details from your store are processed by Claude for those purposes only. If the workflows run in your own Claude account, your own Claude settings apply.

I’ll only show your store as an example of my work, or share any of its data, with your permission.

6. Who else handles your information

I don’t sell or rent personal information. The only other companies that handle it are the services described above, each for its own part of the job:

ServiceWhat it does
BigScootsHosts this website and my email, and sends emails you ask for, such as guides and calculator breakdowns
ShortPixelDelivers the images on this website
GoogleBooking calendar, Google Meet calls and Gmail
KitStores tips sign-ups and sends tips to people who confirm
WiseInvoices and payments
Anthropic (Claude)Order admin workflows, for clients who use them

Some of these companies store information outside the Philippines, including in the United States. Each is responsible for protecting it under its own privacy policy.

7. How long I keep it

  • Emails and booking details: for as long as we’re talking or working together, then only as long as I reasonably need them for my records.
  • Client and billing records: as long as Philippine tax rules require.
  • Website analytics: Koko Analytics keeps only totals (page views, countries, devices, campaigns, button clicks and form submissions), with no personal information.
  • Emails this website sends (such as a guide or your calculator breakdown): a log of who each went to, the subject and the message, kept for 30 days, then deleted.
  • Tips sign-ups: kept in Kit until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove you. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 60 days.

8. Your choices and rights

Why I’m allowed to use it. If you’re in the UK or EU, data protection law asks me to say why I use your information:

  • to do what you asked: reply to you, book your call, send your guide or calculator breakdown, and work with you as a client;
  • your consent: tips emails, which you can withdraw at any time;
  • legitimate interests: keeping this website running and secure, the 30-day email log, stopping form misuse, and counting visits with Koko Analytics;
  • legal obligations: keeping client and billing records for tax.

You can ask me to:

  • show you the personal information I hold about you,
  • correct anything that’s wrong,
  • delete it, unless I need to keep it for legal or tax reasons,
  • stop using it for a particular purpose,
  • withdraw your consent to tips at any time (the unsubscribe link in any tips email does this too).

Just email jasmin@jasmincasumpang.com. I’ll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.

If you’re not happy with how I’ve handled your information, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Philippines’ National Privacy Commission or to the privacy regulator where you live.

9. Keeping it safe

I use strong, unique passwords and two-step sign-in where it’s offered, and I keep access to client stores and accounts to what the work needs. No system is perfectly secure, but I’ll tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects your information.

10. Children

This website and my services are for businesses. They’re not aimed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect children’s personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

I’ll update this page if the tools I use or the way I handle information changes. The date below shows the latest version.
